The Big Apple!
Every off-season my husband and I pick a vacation spot. Sometimes it’s tropical and other times it’s up in the mountains. This year we chose the city. And what city is the best around Christmas time…? New York, of course!
I’m a huge Jets fan! So we thought it would be fun to catch a game while we were there. They just so happened to be playing on Monday night, so that was really cool. It was absolutely freezing but had a great time!
Being in the city during Christmas time is incredible. Walking down the streets of New York bundled up, holding a holiday latte, Christmas lights everywhere, and Christmas music playing, it’s magical!
That evening we went to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. The show was wonderful and The Rockettes were magnificent! I definitely recommend going to see this show!
We went to Rockefeller Center and saw the beautiful tree, that never gets old! It’s such a historic landmark. We watched the light show on the building then walked around all the cute little Christmas shops. In the meantime we we’re trying to stay warm but we wouldn’t of wanted it any other way!
We had the privilege to visit and tour the 911 Memorial Museum. It was such a humbling experience. The museum was so powerful. It left me heartbroken, emotional and speechless. It is a must see. It’s overwhelming but also educational and worth the visit.
Our last day in the city we went to the Good Morning America Show. This was something we’ve always wanted to attend. We watch the show every morning so we thought it would be pretty cool to see it live. We sat in the studio and watched them film each segment. Steve Harvey was there that day so that was nice. We had lots of fun!
It was an amazing vacation!!
Lovely post! Seems like you had a fantastic time! I am from North America originally (I now live in Sweden), but I never got the chance to go to New York. I would love to one day soon. Where did you stay?
