Blackened Fish Tacos 

A fresh and light meal!


  • 1 lb. Tilapia fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 tablespoon lime juice


  1. In a small bowl combine all the spices. Set aside.
  2. Rub Tilapia fillets with olive oil until fully coated, then rub spice mixture all over fillets until both sides are completely covered.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add butter. Once butter is melted place in fillets and cook for 3-4 on each side or until golden brown and flaky. Remove from pan and squeeze lime juice over fillets. Gently flake fish and serve in a tortilla with toppings of choice. I used sour cream, avocados, tomatoes, and cilantro.
  4. Enjoy!!
