Asian Steak Tacos w/ Creamy Lime Cilantro Slaw


  • 1 (2 lb) flank steak
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 lime, zest and juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper

Creamy Lime Cilantro Slaw:

  • 1 (12 oz) bag broccoli slaw
  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • 1 lime, zest and juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Place flank steak in a shallow baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, lime zest and juice, honey, cilantro, garlic, ginger, red pepper, salt and pepper until combined. Pour marinade over steak, coating completely. Cover and place in refrigerator to marinate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Heat grill to high heat. Remove steak from marinade and place on grill. Grill for 1-2 minutes of each side to sear the meat. Lower the heat a bit and cook for an additional 2-3 on each side.
  4. Remove from grillĀ and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Then cut into strips.
  5. For the slaw: Place all slaw ingredients into a bowl and toss combine until slaw is completely coated with sauce.
  6. Prepare tacos by placing steak, slaw and fresh cilantro in tortillas.
  7. Enjoy!!
